YMMV, of course.

As for the webrev git support - I'd be interested to hear your comparison results. I wouldn't consider my changes to be ready for integration - it will need more polish and love. Nonetheless, the ultimate goal is to have it integrated eventually.Cyril Pliskohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04473439241747458148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7148323.post-39429694951222336382009-06-05T23:36:41.869+03:002009-06-05T23:36:41.869+03:00Cyril,

It gets better - documentation-wise, interface-wise, feature-wise each minor release.

We have been using our own version of git-aware webrev, will be interesting to compare...
Did you ever try to push it back into OpenSolaris webrev?Fedorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14877970857823774301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7148323.post-46424369384385471532009-05-12T22:20:00.000+03:002009-05-12T22:20:00.000+03:00Paul,

There is nothing special about this version (1.5.something) - it just was the latest version when git was integrated into SFW consolidation. If you want to start learning git, you'll probably hardly notice any difference between 1.5 and 1.6 (currently 1.6.3) series. So I'd say take the easiest route.Cyril Pliskohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04473439241747458148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7148323.post-47497464434819540122009-05-11T13:29:00.000+03:002009-05-11T13:29:00.000+03:00Are you using git built from source or the pkg SUN...Are you using git built from source or the pkg SUNWgit, if you started to learn git which would you recommend, cutting edge or tried and tested?

Cheers PaulPaul Johnstonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08774776560174653428noreply@blogger.com
